The restful, friendly ambiance of this beautiful Georgian house sweeps you away immediately. As you enter the Old Rectory hotel through the Georgian pillars you are greeted with a splendid staircase.
The traditional wooden bar with its tapestries, styled interiors and pine wooden floor is a perfect starting point to meet old and new friends over a drink. The tranquil drawing room invites you to sit and relax whilst enjoying views of the well-kept grounds and historical architecture which surrounds you. During the winter months an open log fire welcomes you. Our warm and enticing restaurant offers freshly prepared traditional cuisine with an international flare.
The conservatory overlooks the beautiful gardens with an abundance of flowers, fruit trees and an original folly. All 14 bedrooms are en suite and are individually decorated with their own shape, size and character. The rooms are named after the rectors of Wem, and a brief history is found in each of the rooms.

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots. If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
